My crescent style butt plate is a work of art and compliments the rifle nicely. But does it ever slide around on the shoulder, thinking about non-skid surface options.
Is this something you get used to and can just ignore?

Question for the gun cranks out there. I have to D&T my Winoku. If I drill for an aluminum Lyman 66A the screw pattern should be the same as an earlier steel model I assume if I bump into a steel version later.

False alarm. Found a source for Berry's plated 110 grain at Mystic Precision in Canada, .311 RN designed for the 7.62X39. It is a carbon copy of the 110 grain RN 30 Carbine bullet. It is rated for 1700 fps.

That helps explain why an earlier post noted that 1952 and earlier were his preferred carbines. This is really helping to seperate the pre-64s and post 64s. I now realize that the 53 to 63 models do not have the same collectable satus of the earlier rifles.

The leaner lines of the early 64s is quite noticeable. It suits the rifle a little better to my eye.
