I have this 1942 Old Town canvas covered boat. My grandfather won it and a 7.5hp Scott Atwater outboard for a 25 cent raffle when he was a warden. It's a beautiful thing, but needs a restoration.
We fished out of it until the early 80s. It rode wonderfully.

Some don't. There are losers and bums everywhere.
Some people with hunting dogs have outdoor kennels, but they make a place the can get into that is insulated. Sometimes, they leave a 100 watt incandescent light on in it. They do the same with chicken coops.

We never locked doors or took keys out of vehicles, snowmobiles, motorcycles, or stuff like that.
Many kids were pretty feral though. Most were on the loose in them days. They only really feared adults. Fights were fairly common. We saw divorces, but not among my close circle.
