Re: 1873 in .44 Special

Sadly, I'm down to one 44 Special at the moment.
Just an old Rossi 720 3" 5 shot carry revolver.
I really like the cartridge. Like you said, it sits in that "just right" sweet spot.

Re: 1873 in .44 Special

Well that's just cool! Someday, I'd like one more Colt SAA. I want a 4 3/4 and I think I want a 44 Special. In a perfect world I'd like a Frontier Six Shooter with an extra 44 Special cylinder, but that's a winning lottery ticket away. Anyway, if the day ever comes, it would be most excellent to hav...

Re: Model 92 Leverguns ... .357 Magnum

I've got several 92 Winchesters. They are all in 38-40 and 44-40, with the vast majority in 38-40. In many ways, the 92 is my favorite Winchester. What I did NOT have was a rifle of any kind in .357. About 20 years ago, I kind of abandoned the .357 for some strange reason. For whatever reason, I've ...

Lockers are the difference. Always. Always use caution with the front, however. When you cut the wheels, the strength of your front axle universals are greatly reduced. Couple that with the huge torque multiplication of a Rubicons 4:1 low range, and it's easy to break one. Breaking an axle universal...
