I have a traditional whole house stand-by Generac Generator. And I love it. It is very reliable, operates on natural gas, and provides great peace of mind. Particularly as I am always busy in a First Responder mode during bad storms, and therefore not home to hook up a generator when the power goes ...

Great looking (and shooting) rifle. I would like to find an original 1876. The toggle link on my original 1873 has never failed me. I know the physics favor the more robust actions like on the 1886/1892/1894 models, but I love the looks of the 1873 and 1876.

I am pretty sure all the Winchester Model 1887 shotguns were pre-smokeless. The Winchester Model 1901 lever action shotgun was made for smokeless powder, but is only available in 10 guage. If you want 12 guage, you have to go with the Model 1887. That's my understanding anyway. By the way, the 1887 ...

I shoot an original take down version in .30-06. I actually had it reblued a couple years ago because it already had a replaced barrel so the receiver and barrell did not match. So now all the metal surfaces match. My gun, my choice. But getting a new one in .405 sounds appealing.
