Great looking (and shooting) rifle. I would like to find an original 1876. The toggle link on my original 1873 has never failed me. I know the physics favor the more robust actions like on the 1886/1892/1894 models, but I love the looks of the 1873 and 1876.

I am pretty sure all the Winchester Model 1887 shotguns were pre-smokeless. The Winchester Model 1901 lever action shotgun was made for smokeless powder, but is only available in 10 guage. Isn't fluoride added (less than 1 ppm) to many municipal water supplies at the purifying/pumping facility to prevent dental cavities?

(Although some water filters that people use strip it back out.)

RIP Rush Limbaugh. Not surprising at all that he/Katherine would choose to make the announcement of his passing on his show. He truly appreciated his listeners.

I shoot an original take down version in .30-06. I actually had it reblued a couple years ago because it already had a replaced barrel so the receiver and barrell did not match. So now all the metal surfaces match. My gun, my choice. But getting a new one in .405 sounds appealing.
