Several years ago I bought a unique muzzleloading handgun. The Kahnke M82 single shot pistol reminds me of a muzzleloading version of the Contender in the fact that you can interchange barrels of different calibers and lengths. You can get 10,12 and 14 barrels in 36,45,50 and 54. I own a stainless m...

You are correct on the load for H110 and that bullet. It was my error. I have some loads with Lil Gun at 13 grains which is the maximum load. I do believe those loads were using 10.4 grains of H110 instead. I need to mark my loads better.

I did get a couple of extreme flyers but I believe that is due to factors other than the load. From what I understand, shooting over a chronograph can involve a lot of variables. The other day I was sadly disappointed in the results of my tests using IMR 4227 in the 44 magnum. There are a lot of ways around things if you want to really get clever about it. As an example, here in good ole Massachusetts there is no closed season on certain game animals. If I were hunting for moose in Alaska I would use the 45-70 but in my case it would be a Contender. Moose do not react to gunshots like other game. I know it isn't much consolation but if you hunt long enough you will lose at least one animal.
