Miroku made them for both Browning and Winchester as Rimfire said, they generally price between $1000 and $2000 depending on model and condition, private one's are usually are cheaper then from a dealer, lots of them around if you look.

The equivalent to the N R A in Australia is the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia, they did a feature article on the 94 just a few months back in their magazine and they stated that the 94 would be back soon, I think they are going to be made in the factory thay have in North or South Carol...

Maremma's are one of the smallest of the flock guardian dogs, probably in bad wolf country you may need to step up a size or two, if your interested have a look at the Akbash Dog, Anatolian Shepard, Caucasian Ovtcharka,Kangal Dog, Komondor, and the South Russian Ovtcharka. Yep the design is of a Russell Skinning Knife from Canada, they won an award back in the 60's for the design, have had an original Russell since about 1969 and still have it.
