Well... the back half is all original. The front half is more recent. When I bought it, it had Marbles sights which I've since replaced with a SA buckhorn and a blade front. Since this picture I also did some sculpting of the forend to make it less "2x3"ish and opened the chamber to .45-90...
Ooh rollers rollers... rollers I don't own. The vertical Pedersoli left to make way (and help pay) for Shilo I posted. http://photos.imageevent.com/cas6969/guns/oldSingles.jpg The roller on the bottom went away to pay for the one with the scope.. http://photos.imageevent.com/cas6969/guns/SNIPER2.jpg
http://photos.imageevent.com/cas6969/misc/Yojimbo.jpg Eastwood and Willis can't hold a candle to Mifune. "My name is nobody" is on my list of three favorite movies of all time. I don't know that I'd say it's my favorite western, or that it rates high as a movie, but it's special to me. He...
Very Jesus like of you, making judgments about my character based on so much. Thank you for showing us the nature of your character. Are you upset by what you're seeing, or what you think you're seeing? (What you see is a zoom from a gunship camera/sight, not an incoming smart bomb video feed.)
BTW.. where are you looking at them? When I bought mine I got it from Mac Mall http://www.macmall.com or Mac Warehouse (don't remember now). Saved a couple bucks, not too much but they often throw things in as extras.
I don't know if the Mac prices will come down after the holiday. I think they only come down as higher/new models are released. I TRY not to keep up on the pricing because I don't need to be tempted.
I bought mine in... 2003? Haven't regretted it for one second.
If, AND THAT'S A BIG IF, I were to use Prodex, I'd use "P". Hehehe... it's my feeling that Pyrodex may be the worst fouler of them all. The American Pioneer being the lightest, because it isn't at all like the other powders. I use it in my Martini's and sometimes my Hepburn and I don't ev...
People have called and the answer is that if you can't defend yourself with the bow, you ain't a good enough shot to be hunting in the first place..... That is the most absurd statement I have ever heard! LOL And.. even if that WERE true, ok, so.. you deserve to die because of it? Asinine.
With the exception of the few sites that force me to use a longer name (where I add my birth-date), it's the same on every shooting, hunting, outdoor related site I visit. I can't see the point of using different names everywhere.
I started out as a shotgun only hunter. When I was old enough I became a handgun only hunter, and laughed at rifle hunters. "How can you NOT get a deer with a rifle?" Now that rifles are legal for me, I have a lifetime worth of rifle collection to put into action. Hunting for me now isn't ...
I've done this with a number of new hunters... take your paper plate out in the woods and shoot at it for many different angles. When all those samplings and branches join in the fun, hitting it anywhere is hard enough.
I have also resized the photos on my previous posts.   http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc145/cabelas1987/Landyagain.jpg Ok.. not picking on you, just using you as an example  ref: resolution, and optimization. Your photo above is 264K in size. These are optimized...
He needs to get his butt to the post office and see if it's down there. In 5 (?) years now of shipping cylinders I ran into "problems' only 3 times. Every time it's been the same. the package was waiting at the post office for them to pick it up, but no notice of this was ever left, so they had...
My original 22M/20 Savage 24 has probably taken more squirrels for me than any other long gun. http://photos.imageevent.com/cas6969/guns/combo.jpg This one was a fun one, but didn't get used enough and got sent on it's way. Spooky accurate. http://photos.imageevent.com/cas6969/guns/Squirrel-exemplar...
I've removed a number of separated straight walled cases, just by using a couple cleaning patches and a cleaning jag. Down the barrel with the patch as tight as you can get it. Doesn't always work on the first (or sixth ) try, but it's always done the trick for me.
Hey Paul... just how much of your bandwidth is this thing using up every month? More out of curiosity than anything, though I do toy with the idea of leaving Disc Sewer and it's pop ups for Savage24. (though I don't know if that change would be welcome)
When I saw those prizes listed I though to myself.. "I'd rather have 2nd prize". While the African Safari is a once in a lifetime type thing, that rifle could be for many lifetimes. Your great grandchildren could still be enjoying it long after you're gone. (assuming you want it and can ke...
Since this baseball thread was started, I will add my 2¢ I would like the thank the Mets for a perfect "Mets season". As a true Mets fan I find myself disappointed if they don't disappoint me ( true Cubs fans will know what I mean). This year they didn't let us down, and I would like to c...
FWIW... I used a 2 foot (?) length of chrome plated copper water supply line from Lowes, along with some oak for a stand. The funnel is an aluminum one I found at Ace hardware. Cut the water supply line off at the fitting to form a flare (though I could have just cut it off and flared it with the fl...
Ya got me. I do have a program to rip DVD's to my computer. I don't have the ability (at least I don't think I do) to convert them to those formats. I don't know what the programs to do that would be. However you can often download movies from file sharing sites that are already in AVI and MPE...
I've used APP in cartridge before. I little compression is fine with APP, but you don't want a lot. Fill it to a smidgen past where the base of the bullet would be. If you're using lead bullets a card or cork wad under the base would be helpful, but I've shot plenty without. The "fouling" ...
