Re: SA Revolver Options - need some insight
I know you were leaning towards a .44, but since you were thinking of concealed carry I would reallly give the little Ruger Montado some serious thought. Very dependable, you can safely carry all six beans in it, and good defence rounds are easy to come up with. .357 reloading components are easy to...

Re: MUZZLE LOADING SHOTGUN
I put together a CVA double kit last winter and plan on using for woodcock this fall. I think I would prefer a single barrel for hunting though, lighter and less chance of accidently loading the second barrel twice in the heat of the moment. I really like the looks of the Mortimer guns, but then I h...

Birchwood Casey makes a blueing/rust remover that works great. Should be able to find it in gun shops or some hardware stores, but I would probably start scrubbing with some fine steel wool and oil.

Yep, a handgun is a handy thing to carry till you can get to a rifle. The only defensive use I've had for a handgun lately is against chipmunk raids and the old .45 still knocks them down.

My all time favorite in the BLR is the .358, if he could find a used one, he would have a fantastic moose rifle even ready for a scope for older eyes dim light. Savage even made some 99's in .358 if a person could find one.
