Bringing a cased shotgun on the bus and leaving in the office at school so you could go hunting with your buddies after school or over the the weekend, and I remember the days when everyone over the age of 6 carried a pocket knife, all day, everyday, and it wasn't considerd a weapon, or maybe you ha...

I've got it torn down right now, the wrist and grip were so danged thick for such a little rifle Dad figured it would be hard to use with gloves on so I thinned and reshaped it to match his ol springfield sporter, maybe next week I'll e-mail some pics to Pitchy and see if we can get him to post them...

I am hopeing accuracy will be good, dad came up with a few shells factory Federal 140's, We mounted a Leupold 4X on it, bore sighted it, then I took 3 shots at 25yds. 2 holes touching and one less than .25'' away. This is a simple type saftey that keeps the sear from rising when the trigger is pulled and mounts with one pivot screw on the upper tang, I wish I could post pics. The saftey is numbered with the last three didgets of the serial number.

I was wondering if any of you knew about safty's on these old swedes, Dad just picked up a sporterized, manlicher stocked 6.5 swede with a additional side mounted trigger block saftey. The checkering on the saftey matches the checkering on the cocking piece and 3 position safety and has matching ser...

Re: Which New Rifle To Set Up For Hunting This Year
I'm with the majority, the 88 should have a scope on it, the 284 is a fine cartridge and just the ticket when that prize bull or buck is 250yds.away, a little too much I think for the .375. I do think the .375 94 is a fantastic walking rifle, I had one when they first came out, had to wait a long ti...

A lot of those plastic guns have very large grips, I didn't say all. I think part of the switch might be tradition, but they still wouldn't pick something that didn't keep them alive. The 1911's still rule,I have spoken.

One thing I've always loved about the 1911 is it has a very comfortable grip, it even fits smaller hands, alot of those high cap plastic guns have grips like 2X4's.
