Re: Winchester 94 timeline?
I am no expert, but the following is a method I use when at gun shows or see an ad I might like. I have gotten this info from various books and use s/n rather that mfg date. Don't know how accurate it is but serves me. 500,000 - 1,200,000 had flaking metal receivers 1,027,572 proof steel barrels sta...

I got my elk last year with a 7MM mag and handloaded 140gr TTSX. 100 yard (or so) shot in the neck and elk dropped in tracks. Bullet hole out not much bigger than bullet hole in. No fragments found in meat. Sighting in after reloading got 1 1/2 in groups (100 yd) using RL22 powder. Rifle a Ruger 77

Any suggestions appreciated.

In this neck of the wood (SW Washington) all the CENEX stations only have gas w/o ethanol.
I was recently to Minneapolis and most stations had a pump that did not have ethanol, and was 5 cents
a gal less expensive that the gas with ethanol.

I used to stop in Pintos gun shop in Kent every time I went to the Puyallup gun show (once a month). Nice shop and lots of guns. I always found something there I needed.
