I like the fact that leverguns can be had in calibers to exactly match your pistol so that only one type of ammunition is needed. Simplicity at its best. I also like the fact that a .22lr levergun feels and shoots almost exactly like a larger caliber at 25 to 50 yards without much noise and cheap am...

And here I am just after reading a gun magazine thinking that deer won't even notice it, much less die, if shot with anything less powerful than a 7mm Mag. Some writer in Texas Fish and Game magazine a few years ago said that he wouldn't even consider hunting elk with less than a .338 Mag. Th...

In Texas there is no regulatory law governing Child Protective Services which I can find available to the public. For all practical purposes they have been given Janet Reno-like powers. The ACLU is the only answer to the CPS. As a hunter and firearm owner I dislike the ACLU intensly, but CPS is much...

Since the original caller was a crank caller, and in Texas that is a felony, when are we going to see the crank caller prosecuted? Having had several brushes with CPS failing to prosecute crank callers, and seeing the abuse that children in the foster system are subject to, I have no trust in the sy...

Can we get Michelle Malkin of Ann Coulter to be the vice presidential candidate for John McCain. They could slap him upside the head every time he is wrong and no one would ever stop them. McCain would probably get brain damage from all the slaps, but who would notice. Maybe kidding here, who knows.

Muscles Are Required Intelligence Not Essential. Sorry, as a former Army soldier, I couldn't help but have a little inter-force teasing. Which rifle of yours is your childs favorite?
My daughter likes my Puma .480 Ruger, and at the range refuses to give it back until we are out of ammo. Do any of you have a child who does the same thing, and if so, isn't it great to see it happen?

We had a neighbor who turned us in to CPS twice to harass us, and CPS refused to follow the law and prosecute her for it. My deaf daughter had a school teacher sit in the classroom and watch 3 other children beat up my daughter. When we reported it to the school board, the principle called CPS on us...

I have the Puma carbine in .480 Ruger, and a Marlin 336c in 30-30. I like the Puma better for hunting, but my wife stole my Marlin, had the stock cut down, and now she shoots it better than I did. The Governors in Kansas have been extremely anti-gun since about 1994 when Joan Finney left office. Christians would be better off puting the energy and emotion they muster against Orah and her ilk, into the perfection and practice of their own faith. Yellowhorse, I was at A Place to Shoot when a fire started from ammo. They brought 40 trucks and 3 helicopters and billed $11,000 - not what a range wants. Pilots used to carry. I think that ended in the 80's. The last pilot to use his gun to defend the cockpit is the one at the head of the group trying to get the guns back. The pilots don't need to be law enforcement, just able to protect the cockpit and ultimately, the plane. Oh, well. This is the re...

I started teaching my son to shoot in the backyard with a Davy Crickett rifle and the Super Colibri rounds.
