As some folks have already said, just buy one (a Ruger) of many made since 84/85 to present (2006) in a variety of forms...plus the little Ubertis also mentioned. Wouldn't pay to convert anything I wouldn't think. Prices not that bad. I take (part of) that back...some of the early adjustable sighted...

I can remember back in the early 60's when I was young (wait-a-minute i'm still young) and still live at home. We lived in the counrty and there was no stock laws so there were lots of free ranging hog, wild true but many had ear marks for ownership. Anyway, one day while out with my dad we came up...

I watched it recently also. I enjoyed it for down time entertainment, but a few things puzzled me. I can handle some out of date/place guns now and then but,.......I can't figure out why they put things in that don't make common sense. Like, having a fire at night in Apache country, or when someone...

Early Rossi 92 rear sight replacement options
Rather than hi-jack someone else's similar (but different) 92 sight question on the board now: I've had similar questions regarding improving upon the regular (rear) sight on my early (Interarms) Rossi 92s...and would like to install semi or full buckhorns. Problem is these have non-standard/ oversi...

I echo the comment made about Martin's cheap line... Trying to stay alive like everyone else - w****** themselves by having to appeal to the mass market I suppose, but they should be ashamed. I'll take one of the medium to better Yamahas or older Takamines (and an older Alvarez Yairi) any day over ...

Philip (Joel) Rezak is listing carbines for $379 and rifles in mid $4s or so on Gunsamerica. (search EMF 92) Can't speak specifically for stainless and/or the shorty .44s. Rezak usually deals in EMFs (but probably can get you anything), but I don't think they're providing a stainless/shorty .44. All...

My Springer sheds like crazy, but not all Spaniels do. I love the breed and probably get an English Cocker someday. My sister's Amercian Cocker doesn't shed at all. You can hunt cockers just like springers. The spaniels are active and don't do well cooped up..... I'm a Springer man through n throug...

If it's got the better-metal receiver (after 10+ years of the scintered stuff) and cast lifter (after the same Post 64 era's cheap stamped ones)...that seemed to resurrect the gun in the late 70s to early 80s. it's worth a bit more in my book...I'd say $400's fine. (You can tell if it's a cast lifte...

Also speaking just about the pre AE guns, I'll second the comments about the late 70s to early 80s pre AE guns being pretty decent again after a sad 10+ years of the immediate Post 64 scintered stuff. I'm talking about the later 70s/early 80s ones with the cast lifters and (what appears to be) rever...
