I hunt 90% of the time in thick, dark areas. I've found that XS front sight or GREEN fiber optic front for me......they stick out like a sore.."....." if you know what I mean.

I would part it out. You'd probably make more money on it that way, than selling it outright with the bad barrel. Then you could look for another.
Or....you could talk to 20cows ( of puzzle fame) and see if he has a barrel layin' around he would swap or sell you.

Don't know about the Rossi's however Marlin doesn't recommend Blazers in it's 1894 rifles. We went over this one back in 2009.

Well, me being me, the first thing I'd do it pull the scope off of it and try it with the open sights. Then I'd go to all those things awp101 mentioned. Joe I have one of the Henry H0001T models with the Octagon barrel....unbelievable accurate with the open sights. If I do my part, I can dance shot...

Check your returns to see if they're blocked...(furniture, shelving, toys, clothes, etc..). Or check to see if you even have returns.... Don't laugh...a good friend's new house had the same cooling problem. Came to find out no return ducting...... :roll: Other than that, you might be on to something...

Shoot it and see if it's up to your standards.
You could fire-lap it.
And if those are not a suitable option, re-bore to 35-30/30. (equivalent to 35 Remington)
