Henry 45-70........updated with info

Recently picked up a new Henry Full steel 45-70. Is the action as strong as the marlin? I ask because I have some HSM "bear loads" which are a +p round that I wanna use for a hunt. Can it handle them? I don't wanna ruin a beautiful rifle ;-)

Magnificent Seven

I just wanna say that I had my doubts about the new "Magnificent 7" movie.....but it was really good. Especially the homage to Steve McQueen. Lots of great gun handling/ shooting scenes ;-)

I was checking my property and found this. The void is about 200 feet long and an unknown depth. Helluva way to go. http://i712.photobucket.com/albums/ww121/badguybuster/Mobile%20Uploads/20160710_155113_zpskzqitplk.png http://i712.photobucket.com/albums/ww121/badguybuster/Mobile%20Uploads/20160710_1...

I've been emailing back and forth with Reagan Nonneman regarding converting a 336 30-30 to 358 winchester. Has anyone had this done?

Any 358 winchester lovers?

I've already got a BLR in 358 which is an amazing all around rifle. I load .357 mag pistol projectiles for small game and deer. 200 grain TTSX for bear and hogs. But I'm ordering parts to build an AR10 chambered in 358. My question is.....for anyone with knowledge....can it handle higher pressure ro...

Re: 358 winchester/338 federal

DPMS used to make a 338 Federal bit no longer. It is pretty much just a barrel swap. I already have an AR10. I like 338 projectiles and let's face it.....a 358 cal projectile has a lovely "smack" on impact. KAK offers 358 cal barrels but the 338's are hard to find areas super expensive.

Instead of gas checks I use the "shake n bake" method of powder coating. No lube needed. No gas checks. Adds 30 minutes to the process but I can do A LOT in that 30 minutes.

Horses tend to stick their hooves through fencing....not really climb. It's designed to eliminate that. I've never found any fencing to contain goats. They are like houdini. Finally got rid of them because we couldn't get them contained.

Have you thought about casting your own and then powder coating them? I purchased a bunch of different 44 projectiles from a fella in PA (Burnham bill on gunbroker). Cheap prices but great projectiles. I then did a shake n bake powder coating on them. Works really well

I have 58 acres that is mostly woods. I'm surrounded by an additional 2000 acres of state forest. My boundaries are fenced off but whoever it is, is setting the snares along my fence line. They've cut my fence 3 times so far. Which really sucks. I use no climb horse fencing and it is super expensive
