Re: Sling for a Rossi 92

I like the Black and Decker or Dewalt type mounts. Should work OK on a Rossi, I use them on pre-64 Winchester 94's, pre-war 94's, Brownings, etc. Is that the style in the link Harry gave? http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/slings-sling-swivels/barrel-band-mounts/sling-swivel-sets-prod417...

Thanks. I may end up going that way but I'm nervous about damaging the magazine tube.

Re: Sling for a Rossi 92

You can attach a regular sling with no alterations to your gun. Use a tab of leather between the barrel and magazine tube with a chicago screw and a tab on leather under the butt-plate with one screw retaining it and a hole with a ring-loop on the exposed end. http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n5/...

Sling for a Rossi 92

Continuing to trick out my Rossi 92, I'm now looking for a sling. I saw some older threads recommending the Quake Claw sling for the Rossi 92. I got the impression from reading the thread that the best way to attach the sling would be to get the model that attaches around the barrel and forearm with...

Re: Loading Gate on Winchester 94

Cal, The correct way to load the 94s and others is what you are doing. Load a cartridge leaving just the rime on the front edge of the loading gate, load another leave the rim on the front of the gate, continue till it's full. Now, on the backside of the loading gate is a projection that will keep ...

Re: iron sights and old eyes

My first post  I've worn contact lenses for decades. In the past few years my optometrist has given me a monovision prescription which has been (for me) completely unsatisfactory. So in my most recent visit, I decided to try bifocal contacts. I've resisted the idea for years, mainly because i...
