To flare or not to flare that is the question

Alright I need a bit of help reloading some .45 Colt. I believe I have the sizing dae all set up. Didnt think that one was so hard. So in I am not running off the book data for the O.A.L. but using a a store bought cartridge for the length. The reason is the Hornady book seems to leave the ring on t...

Re: Went to Cabelas today for socks

Yeah, I do realize that this will not be the fastest for reloading the pistol ammo but I am just looking learn right now and by almost everything I read people said start with a single stage if you are just starting out. Others though said just jump right into a progressive. I'm that kind of person ...

Re: Reloading 45 LC for Uberti '73 Levergun

Been following this with some interest as when I start reloading this is a caliber I want to reload. I clearly have more research to do.

Question...What is a lubricated bullet?

Re: First Time Lever Gun

Took the gun to the range yesterday and the attention it took me a bit by suprise. The range instructors where all looking and it and I let shoot it and a bunch of people were coming up and looking at it drooling. Got a few scratches in the stock so I think I have to spend some money on a butt stock...

Thoughts

Finding used brass has been a pain by me. One gun shop sells all their spent shells from the range to a scrapper and the other gun shop is starting to reload so they wont sell their shells anymore. So I made them an offer, I would trade some primers for shells. He gave me a call yesterday and said h...

Re: Wild Hogs...

I think I echo the sentiments of most on post. I am not willing to pay $600 to come to someone’s property and hunt pigs. Especially if you want them off because they are causing damage. I’m not against someone trying to make a buck, just not willing to fork over the case. Same thing with prairie dog...

Re: First Time Lever Gun

Nice gun Vedearduff and thanks for all the info and links to guides. I ran about 25 rounds through it at the range this weekend. Made no sight adjustments just wanted to toss some lead out of it down range. I started to clean it tonight ran into to a bit of a problem. I picked up some Grace USA scre...

Re: First Time Lever Gun

Thanks for all the great information. I had a feeling this was the right spot. So the story behind the gun (and why the case is in the photo) is I picked up the case in Mexcio about 2 years ago on my wife and my honeymoon. After getting home I found that none of the guns I owned would fit in the cas...

First Time Lever Gun

Hello all, I recently bought my first lever action. I got a Uberti 1873 sproting rifle with the case hardened finish chambered in .45 colt. So far I love everything about the gun. Havent fired it though. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the lack of user manaul. It has one, just in my opinion for t...
