Winchester Pump 1906 bolt sticks a little when open

I have a couple of pump Winchester 1906 22 rifles, where the bolt sticks a little when it is open (i.e., when it's pressing the hammer down). The bolt slides freely when it's not in contact with the hammer. I don't want to butcher either of these, but I'm wondering if there's a way to make the hamme...

Winchester 1906 22LR slide is really tight

I just bought a 1906 Winchester pump 22 on gunbroker, and there is a ton of friction in the slide when cycling it. ANyone know what typically might cause this, and how to fix it? I took it down to two piece, and it's definitely the receiver/slide just exerting a lot of friction when pulling the slid...

Re: Why the popularity of AR-15 rifle series?

I think the AR15 is popular because of the military connection, and the availability of magazines with 20 or more rounds. I don't really enjoy shooting them so much though, I dislike the feel of the recoil, with the "SPROING!" from the buffer spring. I enjoy shooting the Garand , m1 carbin...

new Rossi 92 stainless 20" .357

After several years of not owning any lever guns, I saw these Rossi 92 stainless models and really wanted one. I used to have a new-production Marlin 1894C but it was kind of bulky and various screws kept coming loose. I think the original Browning designed 1892 is one of the best balanced designs, ...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d197/sass93/Smilies/howdy.gif and Welcome to THE Forum. Nice selection of guns... Yep, you shouldna sold them fine Winchesters. But, I'd really advise you to give the Lightning Clone a pass. They're not very reliable, mainly due to feeding poorly. While several gun...

Re: Hello there ...

I wish I'd ordered another carbine when they were cheep at CMP. NOw they're out of them for good it seems like.

Garands are still a steal, maybe I ought to try and invest in one more, they won't be plentiful from CMP forever either.

Re: Hello there ...

Lemme see if I can figure out how to include a picture. Here is a photo of a nice Winchester 30-30 I had for a while, but it was too nice to actually shoot, so I sold it, I really should have kept it, but don't hunt and had a bee in my bonnet about some other gun I wanted to buy https://lh6.googleus...

Hello there ...

Hi, I was asked by the moderator to introduce myself so ... I don't hunt, but love target shooting, and the 2nd amendment. I've got a variety of rifles and handguns, my favorites are my M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Sig 556, Kel Tec SU16, and Winchester model 1906. Handgun favorite is Smith and Wesson 1911...
