He fails to make one point. You only need one round in the A zone to accomplish the goal with the 45-70. If you need two in the chest and one in the head, you are dealing with a T-Rex.

Years ago they did a movie “Midnight Express”. Guy tries to smuggle hashish out of Turkey. Gets caught and sent to prison. The movie makes him out to bet the victim. He murders a guard to escape. The US should have sent him back.

What, you never loaded HBWC’s backwards for a .38 spl defense load? It’s all I use for my 2” revolvers.

Since this is a levergun forum and I don’t have any magnum bolt guns or double rifles I’ll go with…

1885 GS with some Garrett of Buffalo Bore for the large and dangerous stuff. And Savage 99 in 7mm08 for plains game.

.45 Colt Blackhawk for backup with some heavy for caliber hard cast LWFN bullets.

Years ago there was a comedian by the name of Jose Jimenez. One of the routines was about launching an expedition to the sun. When asked what they were gonna do about the sun's heat, he said they were going to go at night. That was oart of his astronaut shtick. I remember watching it on Ed Sullivan.

My philosophy on traveling any distance, especially under adverse social conditions it spelled out in my sig line.

I was 18 when a very old sgt (maybe 24) taught it to me. By the way age has nothing to do with years. Those that understand know what I’m talking about.

Zip guns are as old as firearms. Maybe the first firearms.

Ten minutes in Home Depot and a couple of hours work with everyday hand tools could result in a multi shot easily concealed weapon. No gun powder required.

Almost bought a Gladiator when I bought my 2020 Tacoma. But as my wife reminded me, I already have a better Jeep sitting in the driveway. An '82 CJ-8. So I went with the 2WD Tacoma. I don't haul heavy loads or tow heavy trailers so it's perfect for me.
