Just returned from seeing True Grit. I liked it very much and liked some of the acting/characters better than in the JW version. I recommend it. Liked the realistic guns used in the movie, but would think the Henry rifle would not have been so new and shiny looking out on the trail.

You seem to be indicating that, because you rifle has a 26 inch barrel, you should get higher velocity than "published data." What was the length of the test barrel in the published data? Also, since you are using a .375 bullet, what is your barrel groove measurement? Is your barrel a .379...

I'll jump in for Hobie on this question. "T" for Texan model. Straight stock, sometimes with a saddle ring. barrels from 18 to 20 inches.

Well, I don't understand the difference. When I talked with him, he told me $225.00 which included return shipping. I received the converted rifle back from him this afternoon. the return shipping on the box was around $27.00. No refund or change was found in the box, LOL!
