Re: Don't like the new format?
Thanks for the help, but neither one worked for me (ctrl and the mouse wheel or ctrl and the + or - key). I am getting used to the new format tho, so long as I get my dose of leverguns I guess font size doesn't matter much! Thanks anyway.

Hang in there O.S.O.K., your observations about the AR being the modern generations 94 is right on and very astute. Never thought about it that way, but once I digested and thought about it, you are so right.

Okay, I am now about to showcase my stupidity about computers for all to see. Every time I log on Macafee pops up and tells me it has been ages since I did anything with it. Have no idea how to use a antivirus program. Can I get this Avast on line free, then get rid of my Macafee that is a PITA ever...

Winchester 1873 Parts question
Yet another project. I am rebuilding a Winchester 73 in 44 WCF. Need new toggles and some other major parts (lever, sideplates). My plan is to use original parts (ebay and gunbroker) on the outside but I want good quality parts on the inside. Am a tool and die maker and am making some of the parts, ...

OT Venting a little about holsters
1.We are trained and told over and over and over about never ever pointing a gun, loaded or otherwise at anybody (unless of course we are trying to shoot them ie: self defense, etc). Over and over. So tell me why there are holster DESIGNED to have the barrel of a 45 ACP or 40 SW pointed right at my ...

1937 American Rifleman article with praise for the 45-75
Love reading old gun mags. June 1937 has an article titled "An Old Timer Speaks" where this fella (R.C. Ward) tells how he was in Montana when he was 15 (but doesn't give the year, I am guessing maybe late 1880's or early 1890's from other references in the article) and how they went hunti...

Purchased a first year of issue 1894 Winchester rifle last saturday in 38-55 and am really anxious to try her out. Checking my usual suppliers I find they have 3 brass sizes, Winchesters new brass at 2.075, Starline at 2.082, and starline at 2.125". This has probably been rehashed here before b...

Question for those of you who own a Favorite in 32 rimfire. When a round is chambered can you see the top of the rim of the cartridge over the breechblock when the breechblock is closed? On mine I can see about 1/32" of the very top of the rim when the block is closed. Everything is tight but I...
