Yes. But those are in a fenced in game farm, I believe. Not sure if it's the same farm, but they offer bison, and other non-native species to hunters. They do that in Quebec also. A friend has gone up and shot some there. Somehow I assumed the o.p. hunt was fenced as well when I read suwannee river...

This thing is simply a 1858 pietta with a three inch barrel and no loading lever. It is what it is and no aberration. The only difference with the longer barreled guns is the shorter barrel and absent loading lever and the added cylinder pin latch.

I've never messed with those pellets. I'm guessing 30 grain equivalent? Maybe 25? (See? I'm not even sure what increments they come in!) I like the look of that slug though.
