Re: speaking of the Bible . . . and Magna Carta
That is what Thomas Jefferson did. He cut out everything to do with the supernatural, miracles, and the divinity of Jesus. Whereas I admire TJ for almost all of his other works, he missed the mark here. Either you believe what Jesus said (John 14:6) or not. Either Jesus is the Son of the Living God,...

Another 250th anniversary
ON THIS DAY in 1775, the Patriots fought the British at the Battle of Bunker Hill near Boston, the first major battle of the war. Ordered not to fire on the advancing 2,000 British regulars "until you see the whites of their eyes," more than 3,200 Patriots took out half of the enemy soldie...

We are good. My rain gauge only goes to 5 1/2 inches and it was totally full when we got home from Raton this afternoon. I’m not in a place where we need to worry about flooding. Good to hear! I swear they picked up the state of South Carolina and put it in Florida. Rains almost every afternoon now...

Funny, Y2K and I just shot the SMLE a few weeks ago. It reminded me (since we were working our way through military bolt actions) that I still need a P14 or P17 in my collection!

I agree.... We need more DOGE! JBowen I agree. I shot off an email, and told them to put all money they saved back into ss and Medicare. see how it goes. or does that make too much sense? Mystery mold
I picked up an unusual mold that I have not been able to find anything on. Three cavity, made of brass, with no sprue plate. No markings either. One of the round ball cavities measures out to .375-inches. So does the base of the oddly-shaped conical. But the other round ball cavity drops a .50-calib...

Re: First 45 colt in a lever action
I've always assumed it was a combination of the tiny original rim and the straight-sided case that let black powder fouling blow back into the action that kept the .45 Colt from being chambered in leverguns. I also read those were the reasons why. I didn't realize when I got my Winchester 94AE that...
