I bought an old model Bearcat for Y2K, his first handgun, when he was about 5 years old. Of course I controlled the gun and ammo until he was older. We both love it. Just a fun little shooter, and a good quality gun.

The Springfields have been coming down. Competition from Girsan and other importers. Quality on those varies quite a bit, but an optics-ready with a rail does looking interesting. Jason, I bet the SA-35 feels great. Eliminating the magazine disconnect does wonders for the trigger pull. Happy to see ...

I live just south of Charlotte and we got a lot of rain and heavy winds, but were largely spared. By that I mean, sporadic flooding (water only started to recede here yesterday), power outages, downed trees, etc. Our water supply comes out of the Catawba river which is now a muddy mess, so all the w...

I was looking at .22 SAA revolvers and ended up with the Taylor/Uberti Cattleman 12 shot . I really like it. It's the same size as a regular colt so if you have larger hands you'll love it. Color case hardened and blued. It shoots well and has taken a few chislers. 12 shots is a plus. I know you as...
