Checking your zero periodically on a defensive weapon is always a good idea!

How does that shorty work? (As far as does it offer a good amount of sound suppression?) Kid, mine works awesome with a carbine --- the pistol it is pictured on is still a bit rowdy --- i guess because pistols are naturally a bit louder in general so the sound suppression is likely the same But i w...

Great point Scott. The last time I was in San Antonio I got stuck for hours with delays at the airport (like 8 hours of delays). I found a quiet corner to say the rosary. I'm 6' and 210 lbs. COVID wasn't kind to me; I slowly gained back weight each year and settled around this weight a year or so ago (my low was 158 lbs!). What specifically do you want to know? Just looking for general opinions. If I got a .44 Magnum, I'd mostly shoot .44 Specials in it, but always like the flexibility. Guys, Scott's "Carrying a SAA" post got me thinking. I have three Ruger pre-1973 Blackhawks (okay, one is a Super Blackhawk) - or I did before the terrible boating accident a few years back. I haven't fired a "New Model" (what, 53 years old this year!) since the late 1980's, and ...

I certainly didn’t learn to handle a gun in the police academy. I can't say that I've ever heard any former LEO say they learned to handle a gun, or rather, handle one in a way they would rely on to save their life, from a police academy. If they weren't "gun guys" before (and many large ...
