Re: Acquired my first Marlin 10-09-2008, an 1894C

What a lucky feller you are Rexter. I just flat out think the 94C is one of the neatest, most usefull firearms I own. It is sure death on small game and garden pests, a very viable defensive rifle, and packs considerable punch when loaded with CastCores or BuffBore 180's. It certainly gets a solid &...

I am glad I am not the only one who has exercised their right to not patronize a business that treats me like stuff. There is nowhere I want to go that I cannot drive to in five days or less. Even though I have to make two border crossings (in and out of Canada) it is still less hassle and easier on...

Lip smackin good they are. Been doing the firewood thing here in the Interior. Having fair success with cheap cast boolits and a medium dose of Trail Boss loaded in 38spcl cases. I have to snuggle the front post down into the bottom of the peep to compensate for the low velocity but the little 94C i...

66GTO... for whatever it's worth, I tried the CorBon 200's in my 94C and could not get them to cycle. They were "Oh So Close" though and would go in if you jiggled the rifle just right. Had to hold your tounge just right too though. A little internal work would make it happen. The BB 180's...

The European (or "Texas") mount is, in my book, rather attrictive. You have to get most of the big chunks off before the small bugs,/birds can do much cleaning in any reasonable amount of time. I usually boil the skull good, (after skinning) then use a scalpel (or small bladed pocket knife...
