'92 vs '73
I've read everywhere what a big improvement the '92 Win was over the '73. Better reliability, better steel, stronger action, etc. Why then do so many folks still buy '73 replicas. Internally have they been updated to '92 standards? Are they really more prone to malfunction, breakage, etc. Thanks

I purchased a NIB unfired .45 Colt EMF Hartford case colored carbine a few years back for a song, the kind without the silly safety. My mistake, I was looking at my rifle when I wrote that. The carbine is indeed a round barrel.

EMF Hartfords
New poster here. Nice to find this group. I have both a Hartford case colored, octagon barrel .357 1892 rifle, and a NIB .45 octagon barrel, saddle ring carbine same specs. I shoot the rifle, mostly .38 spl because it's cheap. The .45, I've never fired because I don't reload and the ammo is expensiv...
