I forgot to mention that it is a Browning. My local gun store closed its doors last month, so I don't know anybody right now locally that I would trust with the drill and tap job. :(

My favorite book on Midway is Barrett Tillman's "DAUNTLESS". Though a work of fiction, I think it really gives you a feel of what those young pilots went through. I recommend it highly.

Yup. NATO Cruise1985 when I became a Bluenose on the USS America as part of the Marine Detachment. Had liberty in England.I liked England. Med Cruise 1986 when we bombed Libya. I was there with my family last summer. Awesome town, rodeo,whitewater rafting, and the Cody Museum. There is also another museum downtown with dug-up guns from all over. Very interesting. :)

Griff, can I ask where you got that? If so, is that the original front sight? I just got a 86 SRC of my own and I like the looks of your setup. I have to wear old man glasses myself and like you I really don't want to have to drill on my rifle.

I have one that I've been using for years. With 2" 3/4 Remington hi-brass 6 shot, it just hammers a pheasant. I switch to 7 1/2 shot for partridge, because I need all the help i can get when it comes to hitting them on the wing! :lol: They are good, solid guns. You also get quite a few comments...
