It is a constant struggle to keep mesquite from taking over pastures at the ranch. I have killed thousands of them, but there are thousands more left.

Why the H would anyone plant a mesquite tree on purpose? :?: Because the thorn-free Chilean hybrid mesquite is both lovely and low water use, which makes it perfect for Arizona landscaping. Why the H did you not know that? Actually, I had the same question. I have not heard of this variety before.

Ft Davis is the closest thing we have to mountain living, but there are last least two things to consider. It ain't that high (I think between 6 and 7 thousand feet) and it is remote from the populous part of the state. Real remote. These would be a plus for me as I hail from near there, but it woul...

I have the 9x20 and enjoy playing with it. I`ve only had a little tutoring, but did a lot of web research before I got it. Much of the work I`ve done on it is to make upgrades for the lathe itself.
It does add another dimension to what I can do in my shop.

Re: what can be done with reciever flaking on post 64 Win 94
I had a similar vintage receiver that I used in one of my puzzle projects. There was no flaking, but there was no finish left on it either. I buffed it down and browned it. I didn't strip what bluing was on the rest of the components and just browed over it. The gun came out with what looked like a ...

I made up several of my puzzle 94s with receivers of that vintage. They look like what they look like. The top one in the picture above is one of them. It took a nice brown. I had zero problems with making good shooters out of all of them.
