Jerry,
Those are called Deadheads. They are a little collectible to those who mess with stuff like that. Not to collectible to keep you from hunting with them though. I can tell you that they work great on turkeys, but I never shot a deer or hog with one.

If I read right, you are planning on using the hot water tank for drinking water. I know you can drain it as needed, but I would not rely on it - it may not be there and the quality may not be good. I would (and do) have more bottled water on hand. The note about cash is very good. When I lived in c...

Fellas, I usually don't trash a product, but I had the chance to handle one of the new 464's yesterday. I cycled the action once, cocked the hammer once and sighted down the barrel once. Re: Need help: Lever opening on firing BB94
Sounds like the locking lug is not doing its job. It could be worn, undersized or something could be keeping it from coming up far enough. The rails on the bolt may be a factor as already pointed out. Close the lever and see if you can use "reasonable" pressure to push back on the bolt and...

My local gun shop got in an 1894 Marlin in 44 mag a few weeks ago with the walnut stock that does not have the bullseye. So, at least one made it out. It's still there if anyone wants it.

AWP, Those are special takedown mag tubes, which are half mag in these two. Lift up the latch, unscrew the tube and pull it out. Open the action and turn the barrel assembly a quarter turn and pull it off of the receiver. Here is another. http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn148/BruceHHH/100_0052.jpg

The newest 1894 (.44 mag) that has come into the local gun shop does not have the bulls eye and it is a walnut stock. It is my understanding that this has nothing to do with cost cutting. Supposedly, Marlin did not sell the rights to the bulls eye which is a trade mark.
