Which gun?
What gun should I use to harvest a yellow emu? Will a 6.5 Creedmore overpenetrate? Will a .22 rimfire work if I get a headshot? Is a 1911 .45 enough gun if I empty the mag in the ***? (very tempting ) Dont want to use a 12 gauge and get pellets all in the meat. Suggestions welcome, but hurry, I am a...

A wasteful and useless action , long forgotten by all but the families of the participants and serious students of WWI. Here's a pretty good book on the subject: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=the+polar+be ... _sb_noss_2

A sad day
Our little mutt, 13 years old, we rescued from the shelter when he was about 1 year old. Recently, although he was the friendliest, most loving dog you would want, he had taken to biting without warning, got me a couple of times over the space of 3 months or so. Yesterday afternoon my wife was sitti...

Most people who live in Wyoming stay well clear of the town of Jackson, bunch of uber-rich phonies for the most part, always packed shoulder to shoulder with tourists. If there IS anything to see there, about 2 hours should do it, that is , if you can find a place to park. You might enjoy the...

I recall years ago when the Bank of Boulder Colorado used to have a deal on a CD, you deposit something like $1500.00 or so (big money back then) take it out 7 years later and get a nice Weatherby rifle as your interest. Can you imagine the outcry from the snowflakes if they tried that now? :o

How about some food handlers gloves? The clear plastic ones you see people using in fast food restaurants, etc. Would those help you? That way you wouldn't be really touching the meat.

I would just as soon go on a good PD expedition as go elk hunting, maybe more so. Plus, you dont have to field dress th...

I'm thinking you got this used, I'd bet the previous owner tried to do a trigger job, screwed it up and unloaded it. Track down a sear and maybe even a trigger and replace. However take the barreled action out of the stock and look at the engagement surfaces, bet there isn't much engagement... This...

I cant add anything to what Old No7 said, except to stress DO NOT buy an electronic lock .. Also, watch the size and make sure it will do the job for you. If a safe is advertised as "40-gun" safe, in reality it will hold about half that unless the guns are shotguns or leverguns. Start thro...

I have a Uberti 1873, 44-40. For cast bullet accuracy I need to load Oregon Trail .431 diameter bullets , makes the loaded round kind of hourglass-like. AFAIK, doesn't hurt a thing.

I see this guy running around the gunshow every time I go to one, regardless of the location. He's the fellow all decked out in cammies that the top doesn't match the bottom, cruddy old combat boots with the pants legs tucked in, his version of bloused.
