Re: Single action grip frames

My earliest handgunning experiences as a kid were with plow handled single actions but I shot way more DA revolvers and 1911's as an adult. I picked up a .44 mag Vaquero in the mid-90's and discovered that it was fine with medium loads but could be quite a handful at full throttle. I fitted a Bisley...

Interesting, I've got the same holster and never considered that it might work for an N frame. I just tried it and mine is stitched just a bit too tight around the trigger guard to take an N, close but no cigar as the old saying goes.

That's the big horse pill dosage, it's not good to take every day, and not without a generous amount of water.

My doc gave me a hard time about them so I cut em in half now and try not to take one every night. I sleep a whole lot better with it than without, Piller is right about the efficacy.

My 50th Anniversary 357 had one, I drilled it out from the blind side with a 3/8 bit. It uses a different (shorter) strut and spring than the original configuration. If I was to come up with a seat for it I'd try for something that would take the original parts, the short strut/spring has a slightly...

Nope, although I aspire to it. I generally have a range load and a field load for a given gun, but about the time I think I've settled on something I'll discover something "better". The perils of handloading I guess.

I’m thinking loading head forward would make a heck of a solid wadcutter That's why you solder a 9mm into the 40, then you have a solid. Hmm, maybe a 9mm case full of lead inside an inverted 40 case in front of a 44 case of powder That's what I meant Sounds like some kinda ballistic Turducken!

Use progressively shorter target stands from far to near. 3 seconds is pretty fast - if I pull it off in 3 it generally means I missed the far target.
