Re: 10mm revisited.
Quick question for you. What is the cylinder length on the Ruger.
I shoot a Contender in 10mm mag and would like a revolver in the same. The overall cartridge length is 1.632 (case length is 1.240) .

Thanks

I have a TC Contender G2 with a 20” barrel and factory ammo is running 2800 fps. It’s quite deadly on the prairie dogs, badgers and coyotes. I reload for it also and have the bloody finger tips to go with it

Things are ok here but the state is 286 cases with 6 deaths. Hopefully it will continue to stay low:

“That 44 Spl is New Vaquero size but it is marked Vaquero. My question.: are they rating cylinder strength and not frame size since the cylinder walls are thicker than a .45 they mark New Vaquero?”
I may be off here but I think OS is asking “new” vs “vaquero” , what makes his just a vaquero.

We’ve had snow on the ground since Thanksgiving, a few -25 or so days, mainly been around 0. It was 62 on Saturday though. Been out shooting coyotes, jackrabbits and a little ice fishing. Nothing like sitting on a 5 gal bucket at 0 or colder drinking a few beers and a little schnapps.

My Remington 700 gets a lot of copper fouling in the bore. I wonder if fire lapping may help. I have hesitated because the accuracy is right at 1 inch at 100 yards with almost any bullet and powder I use for up to 20 rounds. After that it is time to use a copper fouling remover again. I never shoot...
