Quick question for you. What is the cylinder length on the Ruger.
I shoot a Contender in 10mm mag and would like a revolver in the same. The overall cartridge length is 1.632 (case length is 1.240) .

I have a TC Contender G2 with a 20” barrel and factory ammo is running 2800 fps. It’s quite deadly on the prairie dogs, badgers and coyotes. I reload for it also and have the bloody finger tips to go with it :D

I’m looking at property in Monarch and Three Forks Montana, went over to both this past weekend but there was too much snow to drive the truck in, so covd19 permitting I’ll go back in a few weeks to walk the two properties.

I’ve been out and about over the last 5 days, drove over 1000 miles and never left Montana. Looking at some mountain properties. Got another pile of guns to refinish, hydro dipping and cero coating work.

We’ve had snow on the ground since Thanksgiving, a few -25 or so days, mainly been around 0. It was 62 on Saturday though. Been out shooting coyotes, jackrabbits and a little ice fishing. Nothing like sitting on a 5 gal bucket at 0 or colder drinking a few beers and a little schnapps.

Well you got it six. Jay they used to use calcium chloride, but found it was killing the trout/polluting the streams. They soy is mixed with water and sprayed on, they also will disc the road bed and drop soy powder, disc the road again then water the heck out of it and use a roller behind a grader....

We don’t have as much trouble with road salt as some places, where I lived in Wyoming they didn’t use any except on some state hi ways, they used sand mainly some coal cinders. Salt won’t work at -40, the nastyness was in the summer, they used a soy based emulsion on the dirt roads to keep the dust ...

Rust is lack of cleaning, several times during the winter I get my rain gear on, go to the car wash and crawl around under my truck and and wash the crud off. I like Jays deal with the oil after washing the underside.

My Remington 700 gets a lot of copper fouling in the bore. I wonder if fire lapping may help. I have hesitated because the accuracy is right at 1 inch at 100 yards with almost any bullet and powder I use for up to 20 rounds. After that it is time to use a copper fouling remover again. I never shoot...
