One of mine is a S&W like Scotts I can hit bowling pins 4 outa 5 at 25 yards if I practice once and awhile. I find a S&W M&P Shield II 40 cal easier to see the sights but harder to be descreet when carrying.

I gave my 32 Special to one of my sons, It was a fantastic cast bullet shooter and I really missed it, I ordered a Lee 170 FP mold and if this new rifle shows promise I will find a Lyman 311041.

I'll be the odd man out and recommend the Hornady 170 gr flat points. They open up really well and hold together really well. I used Speers 170gr also and found dead deer but the bullets didn't mushroom has well.

That's all I shot in the 1970's. I always thought they would perform like a Nosler Partition where the front would expand and blow off. Then the back end would punch through.
Never found one to prove my theory. They fed great in my 1894 Marlin too!

Buffalo Bore loads it I believe but its pretty dear last time I looked. The 32 spec was loaded with kleanbore primers so there is a good chance more rifles survived the mercuric primer era. I found the 32 to be easy to get to shoot cast at 2000 fps with great accuracy. I think Winchester did speed up the twist on the latter years 32 special runs. I also have had faster kills with the 32 and jacketed flat points than 30-30, to the point it did seem special.
