Shout out to Charter Arms
Finally got around to shooting my new Bulldog Classic a couple of weeks ago and noticed that the barrel was not quite indexed properly, with the result that the front sight was very slightly canted to the right. Last Tuesday I emailed Charter about the issue and they immediately gave me a return aut...

Blaine, bro, I was in Steilacoom last November for the passing of my partner's dear uncle. I kept feeling the vibe that "Blaine is not far." Should have listened for tuba notes on the wind I guess. Thank you for checking in!

Wow. It just gets better. I got my Marlin when I was a high school sophomore. Dad ordered it for me from Herter's just before the Gun Control Act of 1968 took effect. As I recall, the mailman delivered it to our door. It was a .30-30 and it was accurate like yours. The next year, 1969, is when I sta...

Jason, speaking of .303s, I had one of the little Martini artillery carbines converted to .303, and I used it to try to test the accuracy of some 225-grain .312 JSP bullets I was swaging when I had a Corbin press and a bunch of die sets. The recoil was an unpleasant surprise.

I totally approve, Jason! I am very fond of that old .303 cartridge as well. I found it to be very accurate with good handloads out of a No. 4 Mk. 1 with the excellent aperture sights, but then my name is Bill and I am addicted to Cosmoline.
