Not bad. First try about 5" at 25 yards. I am sure if I get more time to fool with it that will shrink. Sure is a mess to clean though.

The early Charter guns would wear out one side of the crane with lots of shooting. It is a simple fix to change the crane. Never had problems with the rest of it. The original target bulldogs had beautiful fit and finish. I have two 70's target bulldogs that are works of art. I have had to change cranes in a few of them. The newer ones aren't finished as nice but I would say are a little tougher.

I should add that the test I set up was intentionaly designed to destroy bullets to predict out come on larger and tougher game. How close does it mimic game? In terms of pnenetration there isn't a animal in the wolrd as tough as what I shot. I used this same media set up then took info from on game...

While any of these would work fine on hogs and deer I would probably go the Nosler. It expands well on deer and stays together on hogs. The Nosler is a great all around bullet. Water Buffalo are bigger than Cape Buffalo but are generally more passive. They can be equally dangerous in some circumstances but WB are are more tolerant of intrusion and less aggressive overall than their Cape cousins.
