Re: attn Ji-san and other boat minded folks
good catch, that is graphite. I bought DWX from duckworks with the slow hardner. with the low overnight temps I didn't have to worry about getting the chemical bond the next day. the cloth covers down to the top of the garboard, and there is 3 inch tape covering the edge of the plywood. and graphit...

Grizz
Is that graphite mixed with epoxy on the bottom? The hull is shaping up nicely. Looking at the shape it should row very well.
I think this will be my next build. http://duckworksbbs.com/plans/storer/gis/index.htm

Another good powder that is often over looked and I like alot for the 50-55 gr pills is IMR4320. From my own experience your groups will get better with out the crimp. I used to crimp 223 until a friend said to try with out went from shooting .75 to grouping .5 or less at 100 with the same powder ch...

The ammo ban will be on the November ballot, If passed it would effect reload components as well as domestic sales. It would require a $50 fee to buy an ammo purchase permit and bringing ammo bought from out of state would be illegal. So get out there and vote this November

They both have potential. 4895 is a great powder for 223 I use it all the time in botls and gas guns. Try not usin g the crimp die, as your shooting a bolt. I get best results in my 223 bolt when no crimp is used. What is the twist rate of your barrel? If you can get away with it the 69gr SMK is a s...
