Re: New England peep sight
I have the one for "Ruger" bases, and used it first on a 7mm Number One, but then on a Redhawk (just to see if 'peeps' were doable on a handgun - and now I have 'peeps' on my Contender instead of a scope because of that experiment!), and finally, on a 77/22 rifle. Well made, durable, nice ...

Re: Ot- Question For the Contender guys
Whoa Nite Ryder, you need to be careful with that combination. In the BATFE,s eyes your muzzle attachment would have to be welded on permanently to count as a 16+ inch barrel. Just don't want to see someone get in trouble over an unintentional mistake. That is correct. Attachment must be permanent....

Thanks. I haven't gotten around to slugging any muzzleloader barrels yet (and I don't currently have a "45" muzzleloader), but I'll bet I won't get any "45" sabots to crimp as well in a .45-70 as a .460 S&W, which I don't have. There's always the 500 S&W, though...and it'...

Anyone know the groove diameter of a modern .50 and .45 cal muzzleloader? I would like to try sabot loads in a cartridge gun, but am torn between a .500 S&W (which I'd have to buy) and a .45-70 (which I have) and a .460 S&W (which I'd have to buy). I want to use sabots of a reasonable diamet...

I think you're right. The .357 Mag is enough. However, it isn't a Max. The Max approaches the .35 Rem performance (and surpasses some .35 Rem factory loads). The Max will move 180 gr. 100-200 fps faster than the mag will move 158 gr. and will move 200 gr. as fast as the 158s from the Mag. Hobie, wh...

I was lucky.
