Re: OT - any shotshell reloaders here?
All my existing powder is 'assigned' to rifle and pistol I need to reload, so I'll have to get powder for shotgun. Sounds like I need the Lyman shotshell manual, and I'm sure I will have a better feel for powders after that, but I'd definitely like to use a powder which would also be useable in rifl...

Anyone here reload shotgun shells? I've loaded .410 and 12 gauge YEARS ago (shortly after they invented shotguns, I think...) with a hand tool but now have a couple grocery sacks of Remington, Winchester, and Federal hulls, mostly 12 gauge, some 20 gauge, and a few .410 - when I looked on Midway for...

I've always hoped to see a .500 S&W levergun come into production, as a really big-bore levergun with a shorter throw than the .45-70, which could pack a really POTENT punch, yet 'light' loads deliver 500+ grains at 1,000 fps. Alas, I may have to settle for the used Handi-Rifle I just got ( scra...

I like the .44's because if you step up to a long action you can still shoot the same bullets - the regular old 240 grain ones just go way faster from the .444 but still do a good job.
