Yea, I was told by original owner it was born in "63" but I didn't know for a fact it was. Thanks for the info...

Marlin 57M 1963

I picked this up this weekend. Born in 1963. 24 inch barrel, bluing very nice, great looking wood and well made. Gun is heavier than what you would expect. 15 round capacity and lever only has to move about 2 inches to feed round. Very very accurate and feeds like butter. http://s899.photobucket.com...

Newbie in Seattle

New to the forum. Looking to learn more about lever's. Have 2 now, both marlins. MXLR .450 w/ leupold scout scout set up and a guide gun in .450
Think my next one will be a 39a marlin.
