Inland Hurricane?
Experienced something here Friday afternoon the radio was calling a Inland Hurricane. They say on radar that was exactly what it looked like. About a 4-5 county area here in Southern Illinois has had some major damage. Trees and power lines down everwhere. Lots of houses with trees down on them. One...

Re: OT - Kind of - Two "gun store" reports
I've seen that situation as well and know for a fact that at least two of the local gun and pawn shops were hitting all the Walmarts they could and buying ammo to stock in their own stores. I did buy 4 more bricks of Wincherster .22s that Walmart had at $12.97 a box. :D Hope this turns out to be dec...

Thanks Hobie, good story. As I read that, it brought back some of my early memories. I couldn't have been more than 4-5yrs old, dad moved us into a little 4 room house (a shack really) near Vandalia Illinois, this in 1957 or 58. I remember later dad telling me work was hard to find and we had moved ...

Several years back, thinking I was going to get into 3-gun shoots, I cut down a barrel for my 870 to 19" and added screw in chokes. In my admitted limited experience I found that a improved modified or modified choke gave the best patterns and the longest usable range from my gun. The more open...

A good .357 carbine is one of the best all around guns you can own, my Marlin cowboy is my most used centerfire levergun. Don't really know about .38spec in it, as I reload my own and put my loads up in .357 cases. But i have no reason to believe it wouldn't, and it is very accurate.
