When you go to the hodgdon site, WSF does not even show as an option for any weight of .44 Special Bullet. I prefer to use W244 as it sits right next to Unique on the Powder Burn Rate Chart. That is only because I have not seen another can of Unique since I bought my last one.

I found this article interesting. Complaints of 3 other negligent discharges on the set that were blanks but actor was told that the guns were not loaded at all. Years ago when I was involved in reenactments, they held required safety briefs. One of the cardinal rules as that you never point the gun directly at someone. You elevate or aim to the side of them. I am sure even Hollywood would have rules in place that would have prevented this.

I have a 94 in .44 mag with the 20" barrel. I shoots store bought, as well as my reloads to include CAST just fine. I did go to a .431 on some of the cast but my top grain is 240. I have heard going over the 265 grain bullet brings out several issues with the marlin.

I dont need a video. My first rifle was a 1979 Marlin 336 in 30-30. It has worked every time and I dont have to buy premium bullets that cost you an arm and leg. It does it with Federal, Winchester, or Remington 150 or 170 grain promotional ammo.

Pretty good. I did like his explanation of DELIBERATE and DRIVING FORCE. I forget the school that had several kids get killed while the cops waited outside. That is an excellent example of what should have been DRIVING FORCE.

As much as I love my 30-30, I dont think it would be my first choice if I had to stretch it over 225 yards. I have good optics on my AR and would feel very comfortable out to 400 and even to 500 depending on the scenario. As far as reloads go, but the side loading gate is pretty handy as well.

They really need to read more Army Ground Accident Reports or QASAS reports regarding ammunition issues. However, I think that was a foreign rocket and not US. Somethings shouldn't be played with even by those that might consider themselves SAFE or even an EXPERT.

A .50 cal round ball only weights about 177 grains and average velocity for deer loads are about 1500 fps. I have put one through a deer on both sides before at about 75 yards.
