I was thinking about your design, maybe you can use the tang and save some of the file for a second knife? Some of the Finnish Pukkos use a tang similar to the files for the grip.

I am sorry about the loss. I hope you get the coon soon, probably find more than one when you start to get them. I found 22mag with a 125 luman light taped on the end works real well. Put the crosshairs between the glowing eyes. I have got about 15 coons so far trying to get in my cages.

'half caps' are edible, but there are 'false morels' that have an overhanging vs attached 'top' portion that are reportedly TOXIC, so I wouldn't eat them. How does the 97 compare to the 83? I love my 83, but it is a big gun. The 97 seems it would pack a little easier. How does recoil feel in the 97? I put a Bisley grip and hammer on my Blackhawk, and I really love shooting it that way, much better recoil control for me.

I have them in .243,.308,.338,.358 &.429. & have found them to be very good. I too have found the copper sheet much better than aluminium cans. They were very helpful & even spoke with CBE molds to make sure the .338 freechex would suit the custom mold I was having made up for my 33 WCF...
