I shoot a 17 HMR at groung squirrels and any time I can get it for less than $10.00 for a box of fifty I try to get a case(2000), if I can afford it. Setting on around 8000 rnds, and it gives me a " you done good feeling"

when I see it in the stores for $17+.

I agree, it is hard to beat the 223 for the price of ammo and with the right bullet a decent 300yd gun on varmits.

Howdy, Actually if you check the ballistic charts you will find that at the velocity the .204 shoots a 40 grainer close to 4000fps, it bucks the wind better than a 55gr out a 223 and is on par with a 22-250 with a 55gr. I like'em big an fat myself(bullets that is). Here's my Browning M71 in Win 50-110. 10lb rifle and a hand full to shoot with full house loads. 350gr at 2200fps,510gr at 2100fps,547gr at 2000fps.
