All they have to do is get rid of the huge tang saftey and rebounding hammer, I will then try one. the one I looked at was just like a mattel toy from the 1960's. and I grew up shooting Mossbergs but not this one.

Same story in My area Ed. go to GM and everything is so overpriced it's a laugh. most of the small shops are run by self appointed experts who know it all. none of them get a dime from Me.

Beaker ,I may be wrong but I think the only Marlin with a rebounding hammers are the newer .22's. I have picked up 2 new Marlin CF in the last couple of years. they don't have it. I won't own a rebounder.

If You are going to hunt and shoot with factory equivalant ammo get the Marlin. I have a 1895 and like it alot. one thing for sure,when You want to clean it or put a scope on it You can't help but Smile. :D .
