Re: 'Truck' Guns - he didn't test a levergun, but....
Last year I decided I needed something with a little more firepower than the 1911 I always carry while traveling. Came close to buying one of the AK pistols but wanted something that could be more easily concealed and really didn't want to deal with the excessive muzzle blast. Glock solved my proble...

Re: Largest usable outdoor knife?
At one time all I had were 5.5" blade knives it seemed. They did everything from building shelters to processing game. Probably 15 years ago CRKT had a Russ Kromer designed knife called the Alaskan Carcajou. The blade is about 3" long and has a ring on the butt to hang it off ones little f...

Re: FBI returns to the 9mm
Have no problem with using the 9mm in a LE role... The last ten years I was in the business and the five following years as a PI it was my caliber of choice in a pair of S&W 6906s. Most of my co-works carried Glock 19s. What I do have a concern with however is the choice of ammo. I with Dallas P...

Had one for several years back in the 1990s.... Would shoot 3/8" groups at 50 yards with the traditional Winchester and CCI 40 grain HPs and FMJ ammo... With the new lightweight HPs would do no better than 3" at the same distance. They are excellent well built rifles... The one I always wa...

Go for it.... A friend and I both have the Ruger Frontier in .358 Winchester...great little guns. I have a 2.5X Leupold IER scope on mine and my friend just upgraded to a 2-7 Burris Scout scope with their ballistic-drop reticle. I've killed one deer with mine using the Speer 220 FP. I've had one of the High Standard DA .22 Magnum derringers since the 1970s...used to carry it clipped to the Kevlar vest carrier as a third stringer to my duty gun and snubbie backup. It will get the job done up close and with a little practice I have hit silhouette targets out to 25 yards.. Velocit...

If you are looking for an "all-around" bike that does everything well from zipping through curves to long distance trips, I've been REAL happy with my T-Sport. Kinda hard to find as they only made them for three years (2001-2003) but they can be found with low miles well under $10K. Did on...

I own several .22/.22 Magnum (S&W, USFA, Ruger) combo guns and all of them shoot both rounds very well. Back in the 1970s a friend had a Ruger with two cylinders that shot .22 Magnums like a house a fire and .22 Long Rifles like a shotgun pattern... I did have one 4 5/8" blue Ruger Single-S...

Rechambering a .22 LR to .22 Magnum...
I know it can be done having read many of Paco's articles but does anyone have the name of a good smith who can fit an extra cylinder to a Colt Diamondback and rechamber it... A friend has a 4" .22 Diamondback and just found a cylinder...would like a two cylinder gun..

A Single Action Army question...
I have a question on the way a SAA/Freedom Arms/Ruger original style revolver should/can be carried..... Now everyone knows that the cowboys of the old west always carried their SAA Colts with 5 beans in the wheel because enough of them had something land on the hammer while it was in their holster ...
