You cant buy one too big but it is real easy to buy one too small. I have a 12k Onan with auto start and shutoff and I sure wouldnt want anything smaller. The 12k struggles during AC start up. Anything smaller would not hack it.

There is a gun auction Nov 8th in Larned Kansas that has 2 or 3 1887 lever shotguns for sale. At least one of them is in 10ga. That should kill a deer just fine!

I have 4 1911 mags that have been loaded since 1974. They get emptied only when I am shooting and they get reloaded when I am done. They still work fine. BTW they are mil. surplus.

I got my first 22 at 9 and my first shotgun at 12. I was EXPECTED to put meat on the table. My dad worked 2 jobs (farmer and blacksmith/welder) so most of my hunting was alone.

I bought a nice Lyman mould for my 44mag. I drops a 280gr flat nose GC bullet that is perfect for my Smith. Except one thing, it is only .427dia. Built me a die for my press that seats the GC and bumps them up to .431 at the same time. Works great!

If lead and copper don't mix, why do CB shooters use gas checks? Me, I paper patch, great way to remove any fouling and a great way to jacketed performance from cast.

If you increase case capacity by 10% you can increase velocity by about 2 1/2% at the same pressure.

I have had one on a 30-06 for years. The rifle weighs 7 1/2 lbs and I load 180gr bullets over 57gr 4350. No problems yet.
