My biggest issue has been with magazine followers that tilt. They really have to keep the nose of the cartridge up for most guns. I use magazines that have a follower somewhat like the Star magazine on the left. So far those with plastic followers have been working ok for years. I like the solid fo...

In Mozambique when we had no running water we used the "THREE BOTTLE SHOWER" method. We had a lot of 1.5 liter empty commercial water bottles and we would take those to shower with. The first bottle was for rinse and scrub. The second bottle was rinse and scrub any places you missed. Last bottle was...

I've been sort of duplicating that load with the Hornady 255 gr Cowboy bullet. It is dry wax lubricated it shoots very well over 8-8.5gr of Unique. Nothing fancy, but that bullet is dead soft and it shoots well in anything I have tried it in. However, I don't consider this a "cowboy" load in the mo...

I do it once in a great while. I do not normally reload in any kind of hurry. I have plenty of time. My Dad used that method. He taught me to reload in the 1950's and he was using it back then on a big old Pacific single stage press. He started reloading in the 1930's.

Works great for shooing the chickens off the porch. Gotta hit em in the wing if you don't want to seriously damage them.
