Re: Travelling with firearms in the U.S. isn't that easy...
In 1961 I was 15 years old. I got on a Greyhound bus in Phoenix, Arizona and traveled to Seattle, Washington. I had a small suitcase with clothes that I checked and a briefcase that I kept with me. In the briefcase was a Colt 1911 .45 ACP and 200 rounds of ammo ... plus a Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnum...

Re: Wyoming Sight Drifter
Only issue I saw was a friend's High Wall. He brought out his new WSD tool and pulled the plunger back to drift the sight to the right, and first hit sent the sight flying. Luckily we saw where it went, so found the sight. But it was pretty funny. HA! I nearly did the same thing on the Rossi I was ...

This thing is on my list. Bill .. I was surprised the first time I used it. I was installing the front sight on the Rossi 92 that I cut down. The closeup of the grip showing the detail is nice. I suppose those feel much better than poly-ivory! I am not sure. Never had the poly variety. I have to hand it to you, if you're shooting that great with the factory sights... my hat's off! The only thing I changed on the 1911 is to install a flat mainspring housing. My 1911 was made by S.A.M. Inc. and imported by ATI. It was a gift to me from a good friend when I moved back from Africa after my wife passed. It has held up well and works just fine for what I need it to do.

In 1986 Ed Sanow performed a test using various .38 Super ammo on two different .357 Magnum revolvers, SW and Colt (different twist rates). Since the .38 Super has about twice the pressure of the .38 Special he did not recommend using it in .38 Special firearms. The longer freebore due to the supers...

If he doesn't have the Taylor Throat reamers I bet he has Reeder's Maxi-Throat which is the same thing except it's longer than the Taylor Throat and works very well with longer heavier bullets.

I have been shooting .38 Super in my .357 single actions since back in the 1960's. You will have some guns with tight chambers that they won't work in, but mostly they are fine.

The squib means it has gone off. Just push the bullet that is stuck in the bore back into the cylinder and then you will be able to roll the cylinder around and push out the entire cartridge. It should not take much. I have used a section of cleaning rod and a small hammer to tap the bullet back.
