I refuse to own a vehicle ... or even rent one ... that does stuff on its own. My truck does not have electric windows or automatically dimming lights or even lights that turn on by themselves. It has a stick transmission and if you want to unlock the doors you have to put a key into the door lock. ...

It is close to the LBT-LFN but has the "truncated cone" type nose shape. Here is a recovered bullet and a loaded cartridge that a friend of mine loaded and fired.

Experimented with the 320 gr. SSK hardcast in two Redhawks (a 5 1/2" and a 7 1/2") and a 10 1/2" Super Blackhawk years ago. They were the heaviest we wanted to run. Pushed them to 1500 fps ... which I do not recommend. Shooting some of those out of the Blackhawk split one of the grip ...

The reason I like the safety replacement sight is that it is a lot like the sight on the Deluxe model of the Winchester Model 71, on the bolt. And as said, it gets rid of the crappy safety.

Primers can be crushed SLOWLY and not set them off. A whack will pop them. That's why I don't mind slowly easing the cylinder out, pulling with my left hand while I pull the hammer back with my right. FINGER NOT NEAR THE TRIGGER. I got it. I was about to pull the base pin but I decided to put a tie-wrap on the hammer for safety and then gave it one more try at turning. It made it past the spot and I was able to eject the round. This round wobbles a bit when stood up on a counter so I know the primer is proud but just barely...

I have aperture rear sights on my leverguns and use a bead front sight with them all. Works with my old eyes better than a post/blade front sight for me. Try a few different combinations and see what works best for you.

The superglue fix or the solder fix sounds like it should work OK and it does not do permanent damage to the gun like using a hammer and punch to "stake" the sight would. And one of those would be quick and easy!
