And they still show up regularly at yard sales, etc so not hard to obtain. I remember back in the day a fellow had one down in the Amazon basin. Not "kosher" by any means, had it boosted to where he could pick up traffic from across the US of A.

I picked up a few boxes of 22 Long at an auction years ago. They ARE hard to find anymore, that's for sure. Gary Reeder makes a SGB former, but don't know how much gets shaved off the bullet. You slide a 22 LR into the device, close it to hold it still and then slice off the tip. Something like that...

That's a pretty graphic explanation of the top end of the pain scale. Sure am glad you got it taken care of. It's amazing what all they can do through a small hole in your abdomen instead of splitting you stem to stern like they used to do.

That looks like a plateful of fun! Somehow I didn't load a single 38 this last trip. I did get a few bullets cast and lubed, maybe in May. The stash of loaded ammo isn't hurting any, last year was the year of the 44 for ammo burned. Time will tell what get's used up this year.
